The light-footed and traditionalist longboarder Joel Tudor turned professional at age 14. He won the World Longboarding Championships in 1998 and again in 2004. His mentors, Donald Takayama and Nat Young, influenced Tudor heavily. Founder of Kookboxx surfboards and the Duct Tape Invitational surf contest, he is well known for going against the norm yet has become a counterculture trendsetter all the while. His athleticism and ability to ride any type of board with effortless style is partly attributed to his dedication to Brazilian Jui Jitsu.
