Volcom team rider and afro enthusiast from Costa Rica, Carlos has drawn attention to his fast, sometimes twitchy surfing. Raised on the beachbreaks of Costa Rica, he’s one of the first surfers from Central America to ping on the international surf radar. A fan of Jordy and John John’s surfing, the groovy regularfoot has a solid aerial game but wont shy away from heaving barrels either.  “My philosophy of life is enjoy every single moment in life,” he told Red Bull. “Be humble and appreciate the people around you.”
